Michael Blitzer is a Founder and Managing Partner of Inflection Point Asset Management. He has led six public listings across Inflection Point’s portfolio of strategically important assets in the aerospace & defense, critical minerals, and technology industries. In total, he has led more than $5B of capital raises to catalyze growth across the portfolio and build leading multi-billion-dollar companies across a variety of industries. He has also overseen billions of strategic mergers & acquisitions.
At USA Rare Earth (Nasdaq: USAR, formerly Inflection Point II), Mr. Blitzer has been Chairman of the board since its 2025 public listing on Nasdaq where he has overseen a 5-fold increase in market capitalization through M&A and the landmark $3B public-private partnership with the United States Government. Mr. Blitzer is also Lead Director at Merlin Labs (Nasdaq: MRLN, formerly Inflection Point IV), a leading AI-enabled autonomous flight company, where he also chairs the nominating & governance committee, and is a Director at Intuitive Machines (Nasdaq: LUNR, formerly Inflection Point I), a leading lunar exploration company and the first private enterprise to successfully land on the moon, where he chairs the compensation committee.
He is currently Chairman and CEO of Inflection Point III and Inflection Point V, which have announced transactions with A1Rwater and GoWell, respectively, in the water and energy technology fields. He will become Chairman of the Board at A1Rwater (Nasdaq: WATR) upon its public listing in 2026. He is also Chairman of the Board of Inflection Point VI (Nasdaq: IPFX).
Previously, he was the founder and CEO of Kingstown Capital Management, which he founded in 2004 and grew into a multi-billion asset manager with some of the world’s largest endowments and foundations until 2021. Mr. Blitzer began his Wall Street career at J.P. Morgan Securities in 1999, advising companies globally in private debt and equity capital raises, followed by work at the investment fund Gotham Asset Management, which was founded by the author and investor Joel Greenblatt. Mr. Blitzer taught courses in Investing at Columbia Business School for five years in the 2010s. He holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.S. from Cornell University.
